Lage E. Andersen
Consultant
Lage’s Bio
Lage Andersen practiced tax law with Carr McClellan for 48 years. Throughout his career, Lage’s goal was to minimize his clients’ tax burdens. He guided his clients through the tax implications of a wide range of situations: the sale or exchange of property, a corporate merger or acquisition, a payment received in settlement of a lawsuit, an audit, a tax litigation, or a tax collection dispute.
Lage served as a strong advocate for clients involved in audits, tax controversies, administrative appeals, litigation, collection matters, or property tax disputes. He regularly handled such disputes with the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, the California State Board of Equalization, or a local Assessment Appeals Board. His expertise included partnership tax, the taxation of real estate, including 1031 like-kind exchanges, and property tax assessments and changes in ownership.
