Carr McClellan seeks an attorney with a minimum of seven years’ experience to join its law practice. The ideal candidate will have experience prosecuting intellectual property matters and experience licensing intellectual property rights.

Intellectual property license and transfer agreements

Negotiation and preparation of a wide variety of intellectual property related agreements, including licenses, assignments, security agreements, development agreements, consulting agreements, sales, distribution and supply agreements, reseller agreements, software and multimedia licenses, confidentiality agreements, inventor’s rights agreements, and online application and database service provider agreements.

Intellectual property clearance, registration and protection strategies

Protection and enforcement of rights pertaining to trademarks, business names, domain names, copyrights, inventions (whether patentable or not), trade secrets, rights of publicity and employer/employee proprietary rights. Screening and selection of trademarks and the development of trademark protection strategies, including domestic and foreign registration of marks

Intellectual property due diligence

Performing due diligence investigations on intellectual property assets.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and take ownership of new responsibilities. But, also, the ideal candidate will be able to support the firm’s other practice areas. The candidate must be a member or pending member of the California State Bar.
