Carr McClellan seeks an attorney with a minimum of six years’ experience to join its law practice. The ideal candidate will have employment counseling experience and a broad understanding of federal and California employment laws and regulations. Preferably, the candidate will have a majority of experience from an employment practice group or employment-only law firm. The attorney’s practice will involve providing advice and counseling to clients concerning employment law issues. Counseling will include providing advice, drafting policies, handbooks, employment agreements, wage-hour, leave of absences, investigations, etc.

The successful candidate will be ready to take ownership of new responsibilities, have a hands-on approach to completing tasks that may be outside their current experience and bring a solution-focused mindset to their projects. The successful candidate will also be highly professional, a good communicator, motivated by interesting work and able to maintain composure and a sense of humor.

The candidate must be a member or pending member of the California State Bar. This is a great opportunity for a confident, self-motivated person with a desire to build a comprehensive employment practice in a collegial environment.
