Mr. Cassanego led the Carr, McClellan team that represented Valley Wholesale Drug, Stockton, California, and the multi–generational members of the Louis and Audrey Shoneff family in the sale of VWD to H.D. Smith, the nation’s 4^th largest wholesale drug distribution company.  The transaction required complex tax and corporate structuring that enabled the family to achieve its many objectives.  Working with a team of investment bankers from Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC, Mr. Cassanego was deeply involved in each step and aspect of the transaction.  Thomas Shoneff, Chairman of the Valley Wholesale board, stated, “Working with Mark was a perfect fit for our company as he brought to the table his years of experience in addition to his technical expertise, so our family was confident that we had the best representation possible in this ‘once in a lifetime’ transaction.”
