James Giacchetti is a trial lawyer who represents and advocates for clients in complex disputes. He works on contentious high stakes matters in state and federal court. Mr. Giacchetti possesses substantial experience in all phases of civil litigation, from prelawsuit investigation through jury verdict and post-trial proceedings. James regularly prepares and responds to lawsuits and dispositive motions, obtains pretrial discovery, and appears and argues in court. Mr. Giacchetti has been a member of various trial teams and served as lead trial counsel.
Among other matters, Mr. Giacchetti has successfully prosecuted and defended actions for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, reimbursement, and related claims. He has represented individuals, community groups, and large corporations. James utilizes his broad experience to artfully and efficiently obtain results that achieve client goals and serve their best interests.
Mr. Giacchetti graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law. While in law school, James clerked for Mary J. Greenwood, the Administrative Presiding Justice of the Sixth District Court of Appeal, while a Judge for the Superior Court of California. He excelled in Moot Court competitions and was selected to serve as a member of the Honors Moot Court Board. Mr. Giacchetti received his undergraduate degree in Art History, Magna Cum Laude, from Santa Clara University.
