Ms. Lin is a member of the Estate Planning, Trusts & Wealth Transfer Group. From basic wills and trusts to the design and implementation of complex trust and gift planning, Ms. Lin has counseled individuals, families, and business owners on all aspects of trust and estate and tax planning. Ms. Lin analyzes and implements strategies for clients that will help them achieve and maintain their goals, while minimizing the impact of income, gift and estate taxes.

Ms. Lin brings to her estate planning practice the added experience of dealing with sophisticated issues relating to employee benefits/executive compensation and employment law. Prior to joining Carr McClellan, Ms. Lin worked in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini P.C. where she represented private and publicly held high-technology companies in connection with executive compensation and employee benefit matters. Ms. Lin has also worked as a member of the in-house legal team of the biotechnology company, Amgen Inc., where she counseled clients on a wide variety of employee benefit and employment law issues.

• Tailoring estate plans to the needs of family members in multiple generations, including the design and implementation of intergenerational trust planning.
• Irrevocable trust planning, including life insurance trusts (ILITs), grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs) and other gift trusts to transfer wealth in a tax-efficient manner.
