Offering services in two legal specialties, Ms. Johnson advises her clients on bankruptcy and real estate matters. She has represented trustees and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and related adversary proceedings. Ms. Johnson has defended multi-million dollar avoidance actions on behalf of a major telecommunications client; negotiated and drafted settlement agreements for a 400-employee consulting firm; and was given the opportunity to propose a Chapter 11 plan for her creditor client in a complex multi-million dollar bankruptcy case – a highly unusual occurrence. Within her real estate practice, Ms. Johnson represents clients in commercial property acquisitions and leases. She works with her clients to resolve all the details that can otherwise impede the successful completion of these transactions, such as title clearance and insurance matters. She also represents both commercial and residential property owners in 1031 exchanges.
