Mr. Bartel focuses his practice in two areas of the law - estate, trust and probate-related litigation; and medical staff administrative proceedings. He is widely recognized for his skill and expertise in the estate and trust arena and was chosen to be one of the co-authors of the State Bar of California's Amicus Brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark Boggs. v. Boggs case. Since joining the firm in 1978, Mr. Bartel has represented clients at both the trial and appellate levels. With regard to his health care practice, Mr. Bartel has established a statewide reputation as a hearing officer in medical staff administrative hearings.
