David Magnuson
Mr. Magnuson develops and implements estate planning strategies
for Carr McClellan’s clientele: professionals and
entrepreneurs, individuals with securities- or real estate-based
wealth, and families with privately held companies. He advises
clients on all available wealth transfer mechanisms, including
trusts to preserve the equity invested in the family home or
business and provide for the health and education of minors. Mr.
Magnuson's practice extends to estate administration, making him
a valuable advisor regardless of whether he is helping a new
family plan for the future or advising the trustee or executor
of a mature estate.
Before joining Carr McClellan, Mr. Magnuson worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, where he represented clients ranging in size from small privately-held businesses to Fortune 100 companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Magnuson served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, where he worked as a Legislative Affairs Officer and Financial Manager for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program in Washington, D.C. Mr. Magnuson also served as Boat Crew Leader while attending Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training (BUD/S) in San Diego, California.
